I am happy to say that I am happier since talking to the writing center this past week. He helped me reorganized my thoughts and separate my giant 3+ idea paragraphs into sustainable 1 paragraph ideas. My paper needed some idea refinements and I feel a lot better about where it is at.

I did some more research into Coca-Cola in china. Its really interesting how they translated their name into more of a meaning then the actual name. If it was literally translated it would mean something about wax….not really what you want in your soda pop!
I turned in my draft 1.5 today and tonight I am going to work more on my conclusion and adding in more of my research points. My goal is to get my paper up to seven pages. I have a meeting Tuesday night with the writing center.
I am working through the revisions and adding my conclusions to the paragraphs. I need to work on adding new material to the research. I feel like it might need more of a base in the visual support. Symbols should be explained in a broader sense. Right now I think it appears to narrow. After all of this research I am starting to think that symbols are what designers use to communicate, either through words picture or shared values. That is where miscommunications come into play.
I am still hammering out my paper. I find it hard to exactly narrow down what I would like to say sometimes. The writing center really helps narrow it down. Being able to talk it aloud is really a great help. I feel like everything is on track, just have to keep moving through it.
I finished making changes to my proposal and outline. Also I am partway through updating my first draft. As of right now I need more explanation and conclusions drawn. M conclusion and intro paragraph are awful and need more revisions.
Also I would like to revisit my thesis although it is symbols that are misunderstood by culture it might make more sense to lane it in a broader sense as design.
I met with the writing center yesterday and went over my project. We hammered out my outline some more. He really helped me shape up my proposal and pointed out some great holes I have in it. Like that I am being redundant and need to work on not using “this and that” to start my sentences as it is passive voice.
Also I am going to rewrite one of my paragraphs in my proposal. Also it sounds like I did not do enough research Where I meant it to sound like I was admitting to not knowing enough about cross cultural design problems previously to starting the project. It really helped me out a lot and I plan to go back in the next stages of my writing.
Refined my outline some more moved some of the ideas around to create more of a flow that makes sense.
Scheduled an appointment with the writing commons, I am happy that this worked out. Just have to keep this steam going!
